All about the role:

The materials function for the North American operations of Electrolux Major Appliances. The Material Operations manager will work within the Inbound Supply Chain team and in conjunction with multiple site factory supply chain teams to develop and manage process improvements for the internal movement of materials within Electrolux factories and warehouses from receiving to delivery to the point of use in assembly.

This is a hands-on leadership position that will implement Electrolux best practices to optimize the supply chain and drive continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and develop cross-functional teams to continuously evaluate and improve unloading, receiving, and put-away and delivery process for production materials.

  • Participate in the identification, selection, and implementation of cost saving projects.

  • Factory support on strategic projects (Returnable containers, digital supply chain, factory investments).

  • Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing site materials operations and supply chain personnel.

  • Evaluate transactional processes and root cause assessment of inventory accuracy challenges of all material types.

  • Develop standardized descriptions and training for inbound receiving, storage, and material handling.

  • Continuously improve supermarket storage and retrieval process

  • Manages relationship with selected 3PL/4PL to establish best in class flow of material to factories to assure solution exploitation.

  • Establish corporate goals and objectives that provide world-class materials performance to the organization.

  • Track actions to ensure on time completion of key deliverables.

  • Provide input and data to support ongoing budgeting and strategic planning process.

  • Establish and track meaningful departmental reports / measurements.

  • Analyze reports, measurements and external benchmarks to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.

  • APICS CPIM a plus.

  • Minimum 5 years Materials Management experience in a manufacturing setting, preferring. multi-site responsibility and experience with returnable container management.

  • Demonstrated Project management experience.

  • Lean manufacturing experience.

  • Warehouse management system experience.

  • 75% Domestic and/or international travel as required.
