Training Content Developer

Under the supervision of the Training Program Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to the development of training materials such as work instructions, training videos, creating course content for in-classroom learning, adapting created content to match Masters Gallery Foods employee needs, and tracking training progress through the Learning Management System.



  • Provide continuous training support to various departments to develop standards and training materials.
  • Work closely with the Training Program Manager, Training Project Lead, and Training Coordinators to ensure all training components are integrated with production training programs and other departmental training needs.
  • Assist in the review of new projects/equipment to ensure that company training needs are effectively defined and communicated to the equipment vendor before installation.
  • Update all current job procedures with appropriate digital media and supplemental training materials.
  • Develop new procedures that will help unify job practices between all shifts.
  • Develop and write documents and media for use in training development plans.
  • Develop training protocol with mutual acceptance of the Production, Sanitation, Human Resources, and Quality Departments to ensure the best possible end product for our customer.
  • Create and establish procedures and schedule follow-up sessions to determine training effectiveness.
  • Work with all plant operations to address the training needs of new and existing employees.
  • Provide general assistance as needed with miscellaneous projects approved by the Training Program Manager.


What You Can Offer




  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in training content development preferred.



  • One to three years of experience working in a manufacturing setting preferably in a leadership, coaching, or training role.


  • Must have excellent technical skills.
  • Understanding/knowledge of high-speed packaging and production labeling equipment and various interrelated job functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with image and video editing software, including but not limited to Adobe products.
  • Knowledge of technical writing for documentation of processes and standard work.
  • In-depth knowledge of cross-departmental job functions and processes within a manufacturing company included but not limited to Production, Sanitation, Quality, Warehouse, and Maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from end-users.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including well-developed listening and coaching skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to training and development needs.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and learn new programs, applications, and processes essential for training or providing other assistance.
