Strategic Sourcing Analyst

Hybrid (2-3 days per week in-office)

Position Overview

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst II will be essential in ensuring a reliable and efficient supply of high-quality materials to meet both internal and external customer needs. This role primarily focuses on day-to-day sourcing activities, managing cost optimization, vendor registration, invoice discrepancy resolution, and system enhancements. In addition to regular sourcing duties, the Analyst II will support project-based work and collaborate with managers and directors on material sourcing, usage tracking, forecasting, and price reconciliation. The Analyst II may also take on responsibilities for directly sourcing materials, ensuring optimal value and supply assurance. The position requires a balance of tactical execution with a strategic mindset for continuous improvement in processes and systems. The Analyst II will report to a senior team member and work closely with 1-3 managers/directors.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Source and secure high-quality raw materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply chain management to meet production needs.
  • Address and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers, collaborating with finance and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and timely payments.
  • Create and implement innovative sourcing strategies that optimize raw material procurement while balancing cost efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable prices, terms, and conditions, securing the best value for the organization.
  • Utilize data analysis to monitor supplier performance, assess material costs, forecast demand, and support decision-making in procurement.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional projects, bringing procurement insights to support product development, operational improvements, and process innovations.
  • In some cases, directly source materials, ensuring total best value and supply assurance.
  • Continuously seek improvements in internal systems and processes to drive efficiency and enhance the overall sourcing strategy.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement functions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving approach, with a keen ability to find practical solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
  • Results-oriented, highly motivated, and comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on optimizing processes and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistent, high-quality results.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $70,000 - $91,000.
