Position Overview

QineitQ is seeking a Jr. Technician with hands on mechanical and electrical experience to work onsite at Ft. Belvoir supporting our RTI/GCSD customer with technical demonstrations and day to day operations.



Responsibilities

    Support scope/requirements analysis of customer priorities and work with QinetiQ's team to understand and support customer needs.
  • Assist with integrating/assembling hardware for the purposes of demonstrations.
  • Candidate will be responsible for set up and tear down of equipment for demonstrations.
  • Support the day to day operations of the RTI/GCSD division.


Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (minimum)
  • Candidate must have three years minimum of hands on electrical and mechanical experience.
  • Candidate must have good organizational skills, a detail oriented and collaborative workstyle, and the ability to communicate technical topics to his/her supervisor
  • Candidate must be able to be trained on old/new equipment tear down and assembly.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work with other engineers and take direction and follow that direction to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Desire to learn to perform scope/requirements analysis - must be capable of working with a customer to translate the customer's wants and needs to top level scope and requirements
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams/Sharepoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must be able to readily adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical cables and electronics.
