What You'll Do in This Position

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) is looking to hire summer interns for 2025. This internship opportunity is for undergraduate students currently studying or interested in Emergency Management, Homeland Security, or Emergency and Disaster Management degree programs.

This position will support various groups within the Emergency Management departments. Interns will support the organization by performing the following activities: attend training courses provided by Emergency Management; assist with reviewing emergency response plans and procedures; support emergency response drills and exercises; develop reports; maintain training records; and equipment checks in the Emergency Operations Center.

Qualifications We Require

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.

Other Qualifications

Unofficial transcripts are required and must be uploaded into BrassRing before the job posting closes.

Qualifications We Desire

Proficient in Microsoft word and excel. Able to communicate clearly and possess critical thinking skills are preferred.
