Requisition Summary

PACCAR is dedicated to improving products and expanding market share by incorporating cutting-edge technology.PACCAR is seeking a motivated Sr. Financial Analyst in the Financial Reporting team. Our team is led by a high-energy, dynamic hiring manager dedicated to developing people, where the company culture emphasizes rotating high-performing individuals every 2+ years to cultivate future leaders.

In this role, you'll focus on analyzing and compiling financial and non-financial information from multiple divisions to ensure complete and accurate reporting of the Company's financials to upper management and for compliance with SEC regulations. The chosen candidate will also have the opportunities to lead a rotating internal team of accounting professionals from various divisions in the preparation and filing of the Company's 10Q, 10K, 11K, Employee Benefit Plans, and other SEC documents. This person will also contribute to process improvements and assist with accounting policy updates as needed. This person reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting within Corporate Accounting.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and project management of the Company's SEC filings including 8-Ks, 10-Qs,10-Ks, annual reports and employee benefit plan statements
  • Perform peer analysis research
  • Supervise the quarterly and annual reporting team assistants
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the quarterly review process and annual audit
  • Responsible for lessee accounting software maintenance
  • Coordinate and provide training as required to PACCAR locations on external reporting requirements or policies
  • Participate in documentation and testing for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)
  • Perform technical GAAP / SEC research and prepare position papers
  • Assist with the adoption of new accounting pronouncements and develop/update related policy and procedures
  • Assist with future system upgrades and implementations as assigned
  • Various projects and special analysis as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Strong technical and analytical accounting skills with intermediate to advanced computer skills in Excel (i.e. pivot tables, macros, charts and graphs) and data analytic tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and self-motivated, handling multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a team environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and work with employees at all levels of the organization. Position requires frequent coordination and negotiation with numerous groups from within and outside the company ranging from staff to vice president levels
  • Ability to work extended hours in office during the financial reporting quarterly and year end process.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA Certification or pursuit of CPA certificate
  • Minimum 3+ years relevant work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of SEC rules and regulations
  • Public accounting and industry experience with multinational publicly traded company preferred
  • Active Disclosure or other financial reporting tool experience preferred
  • SAP or other top tier consolidation software experience/knowledge preferred

We carefully consider numerous compensation factors including your education, training, or experience. The salary range forthis position is $84,000-$131,700 annually.
