TRAINING FACILITATOR

The Learning and Development Specialist facilitates individual and multifaceted courses and/or programs and existing and new learning opportunities and events utilizing various mediums, formats, and technologies to address emerging individual and organizational training needs and to create a culture of learning and development. As a member of the Department of Human Resources’ Employment Services unit, this position serves as primary oversight of the HR training and competency programs, UWM-wide learning and development programs, and new employee orientation, onboarding, and employee learning technologies.
Specific duties and responsibilities include: 1. Facilitates individual and multifaceted competency-based training courses and/or programs and professional development opportunities for varied audiences utilizing various technologies and mediums
2. Disseminates learning resources, technologies, materials, and processes to support individual and organizational learning
3. Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships to foster positive employee educational environments
4. Identifies, analyzes, and evaluates training needs by collecting, organizing, interpreting, and disseminating program data

Hybrid work options may be available. Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus, with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period. Specifics regarding work location requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
