As a Sterile Processing Tech I in the OR Under supervision, you'll perform duties of decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments.

Qualifications

  • High School (G.E.D.) required.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Must be certified as a Tech II within a 14 month period of employment.


Responsibilities

  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of OR surgical instruments.
  • Decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instrument sets, trays equipment, and machinery for various other departments.
  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen sets for OR.
  • Assemble, package and sterilize specialty linen as requested by various departments.
  • Monitor and maintain standards of sterilization as recommended by JCAHO
