We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President of Go-to-Market Messaging, Positioning and Thought to join our Market and Wealth Services marketing team. This role is located in New York, NY/ Jersey City, NJ - Hybrid. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Lead the development of strategic messaging frameworks that articulate a new narrative for BNY Pershing along with value propositions, and key messages to diverse audiences with varying needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure messaging alignment and effectiveness across all marketing channels and campaigns.
- Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive strategies that align with BNY Pershing's business objectives and market dynamics within the financial services industry. Collaborate with the BNY Brand team to define hierarchy, including platform brands and product brands, to ensure consistency and coherence across all BNY touchpoints and audience segments.
- Establish messaging pillars and thought leadership topics to support the annual marketing and communications plan. Collaborate with industry organizations to amplify BNY Pershing SMEs and capture research to support thought leadership topics focused on advisor and firm growth.
- Collaborate with the heads of organic growth, lead generation and event programming to develop integrated campaign strategies and channel event plans that leverage compelling messaging to drive engagement, conversion, and brand loyalty. Partner with marketing team members to optimize messaging effectiveness across digital, traditional, and emerging channels.
- Conduct competitive analysis and research customer insights within financial services and fintech to inform brand strategies, messaging frameworks, and positioning decisions. Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously evolve 's brand strategy and messaging approach.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, communications, product management, sales, and executive leadership, to align messaging efforts with business priorities and objectives within the financial services and fintech landscape. Serve as a strategic advisor on brand strategy and messaging matters, driving consensus and buy-in across the organization.
- Build and lead a high-performing team providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, leveraging deep expertise in financial services and fintech to drive excellence in brand messaging execution.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in go-to-market messaging, content and brand strategy development within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of advisory businesses and the fintech ecosystem.
- Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies, including brand message frameworks.
- Phenomenal writer - both technical and creative -- to bring the firms brand story to life internally and externally.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to deliver exceptional results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Deep understanding of marketing principles, customer insights, and emerging trends in digital marketing and communications within the financial services and fintech sectors.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovation in brand strategy and messaging within the context of financial services and fintech.
- Bachelor's degree required

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $119,000 and $221,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
