Lubbock Associate Director for Financial Planning & Analysis 39221BR TTUS Chief Financial Officer Position Description Performs administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and program. Under general supervision, performs varied and complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and the application of established policies and procedures. May provide supervision and direction to clerical, paraprofessional or professional staff members. About the University Established in 1996, the Texas Tech University System is one of the top public university systems in the nation, consisting of five universities - Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Angelo State University, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and Midwestern State University. About the Department and/or College The Office of the Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer functions as a pivotal financial liaison among various stakeholders, including the Board of Regents, foundation representatives, donors, state agencies, management, and the universities within the TTU System. Additionally, the office provides a comprehensive range of services for all areas within the system offices. Major/Essential Functions Financial Planning and Analysis (50%)
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Four years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration. Experience in a higher education role. Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and financial systems, such as Banner, Cognos, and Sciquest.
