KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming in hallways and office spaces.
  • Clean break room/lunchroom to include: tables, counters, microwaves, refrigerators, and vending machines.
  • Clean restrooms and fill appropriate dispensers. If applicable, clean water fountains and eye wash areas.
  • Empty trash and garbage containers in break/lunchrooms and various other locations. Pick up trash around the building and empty cigarette receptacles if applicable.
  • Maintains building and surrounding area performing minor and routine painting, sidewalk care (shoveling and spreading ice melt as needed). Periodically wash windows and other related maintenance activities as needed (change air filters and light bulbs). Pending plant location, may perform routine plumbing and lawn care (mowing lawn).
  • Order supplies and keep materials neat and organized.
  • If applicable, collect shop trash at end of day and use forklift to dump trash into appropriate dumpster.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, dependent upon location and product line.

QUALIFICATIONS



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. This may include purchase orders.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers in a productive manner.
  • Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner



PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

To successfully perform the essential function of this position, employees must have the ability to:



  • Continuously lift/move 10 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds; and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Continuously stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms above shoulder height; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk; and hear.
  • Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms at waist level and below the waist, and work in limited space.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.



WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is continuously exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to high places, fumes, or airborne particles and/or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
