Basic Function

HF Sinclair Midstream located in Artesia, NM is seeking an OT Site Operations for the SCADA Department. This position will be responsible for providing Operational Technology (OT) technical support at the local operational level. Resolves mid level to advanced technical issues to the Company's OT equipment and conducts technical assignments and projects for the OT Department under minimal supervision. This position will address and support issues related to the local operational OT systems, servers, network, printers and client support. Coordinate hardware and software upgrades at the local operational level.

Job Duties

(functions considered essential as defined by ADA)



  • Provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 OT support and after-hours support
  • Provides advanced desktop, telecom, application, and infrastructure support
  • Manages small to medium projects on an local operational level
  • Provides support for local operational level application support (troubleshooting, testing and upgrades)
  • Provides on-site network monitoring and support. Responds to local user support issues as assigned.
  • Supports all aspects of the network
  • Tests and evaluates routine network systems to eliminate problems
  • Works with LAN/WAN vendors on problem resolution
  • Provides support for LAN/WAN service issues
  • Troubleshoots network logs
  • Provides server administration duties including configuration and maintenance of Windows Server
  • Provides preventative maintenance, including server monitoring, applying and testing patches, and checking for space limitations
  • Oversees server issue resolution, analyzing and providing solutions for Operating System and Database Hardware issues
  • Analyzes and evaluates current interface configuration, user requirements, and optimizes server topologies
  • Recommends add-on technologies and customizations to Company software systems to provide efficiencies to business operations
  • Writes clear, concise, and accurate documentation and provides training (i.e., work procedures, how to guides)
  • Protects all Infrastructure systems from unauthorized access (i.e., MPLS, WAN, Wireless,)


Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from timeto time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of Six years of job-related experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field is preferred.

Required Skills

Intermediate knowledge of applications systems and ability to apply this knowledge. Intermediate working knowledge of information systems concepts/design/development, systems development life cycle, recovery techniques, performance monitoring and tuning; decision-making, analytical, and problem solving skills. Conceptual and data analysis skills, advanced reading skills, the ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations, intermediate reading and writing skills, and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication. Ability to lead to lead projects as required.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Certifications: Microsoft, Juniper and Cisco certifications (MCDST, MCSA, MCSE, MCP); Network, and software certifications (A+, N+, NET+) are preferred. ITIL Foundation

PREFERRED SKILLS:

CEH, CISSP, CISM or Security+ certifications.

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 30% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery and driver based environment including but not limited to chemical, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, working in confined spaces, and exposure to risk of electrical shock. Subject to all weather and varying road conditions. Occasionally required to work long hours which may include nights, weekends, holidays for regularly scheduled maintenance and emergency work and support as well as on-call availability.

Physical Requirements

Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 50 lbs, climbing up to 15 ft, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, perceiving color differences, ability to wear personal protective equipment and a respirator during emergency situations as needed (beards not permitted).
