Job Summary:
The Development Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and reviewing the Badger Challenge community engagement, growth strategies and goals to increase participation and fundraising. The Badger Challenge is a community cancer fundraising event that gives 100% of all dollars raised to cancer research at UW-Madison and UW Carbone Cancer Center. This position is a vital part of the Badger Challenge team and increasing our presence in Madison and Wisconsin to become Wisconsin's largest cancer fundraiser. This position will also engage in fundraising activities in the Department of Human Oncology. Responsibilities: Assists in the planning, promotion and execution of development events, leads the creation and updating of informational materials, interacts with stakeholder groups to cultivate and maintain relationships, and leads reporting efforts on the effectiveness of development activities of the unit.
