Job Summary

Responsible for developing audience segmentation strategies, the integration of various data sources across campaigns and vendors and working with other departments within API to develop analytical reports.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Senior Analytics Manager in API's External Mobilization department.
  • Collects, updates, and audits multiple data inputs for API usage. Inputs include vendors, other departments, and internal API mobilization data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define targeting strategies for outreach efforts, ensuring alignment with campaign goals.
  • Develop and manage audience segmentation by analyzing multiple data sources, including voter file and CRM data to create targeted lists for digital and field outreach initiatives.
  • Working with vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of audiences.
  • Create and maintain detailed reports and visualizations that provide insights into campaign performance, including outreach efforts, engagement levels, and conversion rates.

Qualifications

  • Requires 5-7 years of experience in a similar role and subject matter expertise.
  • Experience with targeting, data, and/or analytics in the political or public affairs realm.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area, or other related field equivalent work experience.
  • Strong SQL skills across multiple database platforms (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc) required.
  • Experience with training and presenting on technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using business intelligence software such as Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, etc. to develop reports for a variety of users.
  • Experience working with voter files to analyze voter data, including demographic, and variables, for use in audience segmentation and targeting.
  • Experience with statistical packages such as R, Python, Stata, SAS, or SPSS preferred.
  • Knowledge of common metrics used to track paid media spending and performance preferred.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, critical thinking, problem solving, planning, organizing, and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to remain in a stationary position working on a computer.
  • Move about the office to access office machinery, meeting rooms, etc. on occasion.
  • Operate a computer and other office machinery such as printers and copy machines.
  • Transport items and equipment up to 10 lbs. on occasion.

Travel Requirements

  • Up to 25%

Percentage of travel time expected for the position, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight.
