POSITION PURPOSE:

Personnel in this position are responsible for maintaining site equipment and facilities maintenance in the performance of their daily duties; utilizing power and hand tools; assisting crew with transportation and logistics during transports and procedures; maintaining hazmat system; maintaining depot inventory levels; and properly documenting tasks as they are completed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Working on machinery and mechanical repairs
  • Working on and operating Aquatic Life Support System (LSS)
  • Maintain cleaniness for boat vessels
  • Pull and launch boat vessels
  • Experience with towing boat vessels with a truck and trailer attachment
  • Minor repairs and weekly checkins on floating structures
  • Inventory logging

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist facilities with additional task assignments
  • Beacons, additional operating equipment
  • Forklift certified

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:


  • One (1) year of depot experience
  • Highschool Diploma or GED

Skills and Abilities:


  • Computer knowledge, Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel
  • Basic electrictronics knowledge
  • Jack of all trades: plumbing, maritime experience, experience on a boat
  • Maintain equipment in a corrosive seawater environment
  • Water Quality Management skills
  • Machinist knowledge is a plus
  • Expereince with tools, telemetry and satellite tags

Special Requirements:


  • Boater safety class
  • WA or equivalent state driver license
  • Work topside mainly until clearance
  • Able to obtain security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience with boat vessels

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:


  • Be able to lift 50-60 lbs
  • Lifting, pulling, pushing, bending, climbing, on feet mostly

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


  • Most of the shift is spent outdoors
  • Some time spent in walk in freezer room and on a floating dock
  • Exposure to pump and equipment noise
  • Exposure to water quality chemicals
