Facility Technician needed for a contract role in Van Nuys, CA

Job description:

Facility Technician A works to achieve operational targets within job area which has minimal impact on the overall achievement of results for the team. Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, routine task-related activities.

Major functions:

  • Entry-level support individual contributor.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Work consists of tasks that are routine renovations/remodels.


Technical/Functional skills:

  • Work consists of tasks that are routine.
  • Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has minimal impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.


Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, routine task-related activities.

  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration.
  • Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians.
  • Uses experience and technical skills with preventative maintenance and system, operations to determine service requirements.
  • Advise manager of preventative maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Works in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required.


Education & Experience

  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills.
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience


In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the pay rate for this role is $17/hr/hr-$25/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
