As the Lead Learning and Development Instructor, you will identify, plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate onsite and public courses to meet the needs of member and non-member company employees to become more effective and efficient in their jobs. Additionally, you will provide coaching and mentorship to the instructor team, including monthly 1:1's, and assist the VP with annual GPS discussions and documentation. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver information and lead structured learning activities while facilitating participant interactions (overcoming any difficult participant challenges to engage all) to achieve the session objectives. These structured learning activities will be conducted in-person and live online.
- Lead instructor team in their respective area. Schedule monthly 1:1's with the instructor team, back up sales lead, and work collaboratively with the L&D leadership team, including the Manager, Instructional Design, Operations Manager, Instructor, Sales Lead, Training Scheduling Manager, and Director of Talent.
- Design and develop training material (workbooks, PPTs, timing sheets, scripts for on-demand learning, etc.) and facilitation to meet learning objectives and accommodate a variety of learning styles while using adult learning principles. Materials will be for synchronous in-person and live online training and asynchronous learning. Research and develop new content as needed to meet member needs, collaborating with other instructors, instructional designers, and graphic artists.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training to continually improve content, structure, materials, and program delivery, including review of your class evaluations.
- Teach and support other instructors on new programs and learning content as needed.
- Collaborate with other instructors and IDs on department initiatives as a project manager (ie. program or series evaluation, redesign, and trainer updates) and for professional development.

Education Requirements:
- Successful completion of high school
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
Training or Experience: (the kind and number of years required)
- 3 - 5 years (minimum 700 hours) facilitating adult learning in business/professional environments, both in-person and live online
- 5 - 7 years of direct supervisory/management experience
Licenses/Certificates:
- Driver's license
- The ability to travel
Any other special requirements necessary to do the job:
- Ability to think on your feet and handle the unexpected in the classroom.
- Must have proficiency in using one or more online training platforms, such as Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.
- Must be able to hold difficult conversations with member contacts, advising them for their benefit, not for what they want to hear.
