Certified Substance Abuse Counselour: Onsite, Overnights in Sacramento. The SUD Counselor provides addiction counseling, manages discharge and referral summaries, and maintains client case files. We offer monthly CEUs and certification fee reimbursement. Responsibilities: * Support patients in crises with co-occurring disorders in a 24/7 care facility. * Provide substance use counseling and treatment. * Conduct assessments, screenings, and referrals. * Maintain accurate patient records and document progress in EHR. * Meet with patients for care coordination and community resource linkage. * Teach self-management skills and provide health tools. * Check on patients every 2 hours and document rounds. * Participate in clinical consultations and meetings. * Maintain confidentiality and professionalism. * Refer patients to other services as needed. * Assist with daily operations like laundry and food distribution. * Attend regular team meetings. Qualifications: * High School diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. * Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor (CCAPP, CADTP, or CAADE). * Experience with evidence-based counseling practices. * Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. * Skills in Harm Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Client-Centered theory. * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts. * Commitment to serving underserved populations. * Intermediate computer literacy; EHR experience preferred. Work Environment: * Shift: 11 PM - 7:30 AM, Tuesday to Saturday. * Note: This is a 24/7 operation. Holiday time off requests will not be approved if they fall on a scheduled workday.
