We are currently seeking an Inventor Team Member to join our growing team. The Inventor Team Member will work with our CAD/BIM/VDC team to take our water resource projects to the next level. This intermediate modeler will be immersed in the fast-paced water resources engineering environment, often requiring creative designs to solve complex design problems. Frequent coordination and communication with design engineers is essential to solving problems, improving processes, and completing projects on time.

The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years of experience preparing and developing clear, complete, and accurate drawings with Inventor, and AutoCAD. Qualified candidates must understand the drawing preparation and presentation requirements.

Preferred locations for these positions are Boise, ID, Kirkland WA

Responsibilities:



  • Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, related data, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
  • Create 3D solid models and supporting production ready drawings; checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
  • Ensure project design standards are adhered to by following published internal Standards as well as common international standards, such as ISO or ANSI.
  • Modify project designs to correct operating deficiencies.
  • Utilize knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, manufacturing materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Read and interpret standard Engineering drawings in Imperial and Metric units.
  • Create multi-view drawings with Dimension and tolerancing in accordance with modern design practice and standards
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; participate in group problem solving situations.
  • Other assignments, tasks or special projects as needed to support department efficiency and productivity.
  • Must be able to remain highly organized, and produce products at a fast pace, while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Preferred candidates will have worked on water treatment plants, pump stations, fish hatcheries, and hydropower facilities or similar projects.


Qualifications:



  • Proficiency with Autodesk's Inventor is required.
  • Proficient with Autodesk Vault Pro


Preferred Skills:



  • Technical or vocation program completion with focus in design and drafting; AA/AS preferred
  • 2-5 years experience preferred as a multi-discipline designer
  • Previous experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus
  • Experience designing high precision products and machinery components.
  • Experience in water resources is a major plus
  • Must have good technical writing and professional communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to collaborate productively with multidisciplinary team members on a variety of concurrent projects.


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $23.09 - $43.42 hr. (DOE)
