Key Position Details:

Job Description:

Supports Allina Health employees and other health care workers within the employee occupational health program through serving as the clinical assistant for occupational medicine providers and occupational health nurses and promoting employee wellness and prevention programs.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Immunization administration according to policy and procedure.
  • Provides patient care support and assists providers as instructed by the Physician or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient medical information and data.
  • Provides department administrative support including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Cleans, re-stocks, and maintains inventory for exam rooms and department.
  • Coordinates tests, procedures, and referrals with provider.
  • Contributes to an environment that is safe for patients, visitors, and employees.
  • Medical onboarding of volunteers and students.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • MA/CMA - Graduate of an AAMA accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN-Graduate of accredited program
  • 1 year experience working in a Medical related field
  • 1 year experience in Microsoft office functions and computer technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant or LPN in Occupational Health

Licenses/Certifications

  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required
  • MA/CMA/LPN required
