Key Position Details:

  • Candidates will be actively interacting with internal and external customers which could include physicians, physician leaders, administration or patients via phone, email and mail.

  • Candidates will be actively managing compliance and privacy investigations/projects

Candidate must live in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Florida or Texas.

Job Description:

Supports the development, education and implementation of Compliance and/or Privacy initiatives systemwide. Leads Compliance and/or Privacy inquiries, investigations and projects. Provides guidance to internal customers. Responds to government agencies and other 3rd parties.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Serves as a resource and oversees areas of responsibility.
    • Provides guidance to internal customers.
    • Ensures the Compliance and Privacy program supports the prevention and/or detections of internal and external guidelines, rules, regulations and policies.
    • Manages the intake, assessment, interpretation and responses for initiatives.
    • Partners with internal customers, identifies concerns and creates effective outcomes.
    • Prepares and communicates executive summaries.
    • Participates in various committees.
    • Assists in the development and execution of the Annual Compliance Work plan.
  • Facilitates and leads Compliance and Privacy initiatives.
    • Facilitates and/or provides assistance with projects.
    • Provides leadership in identification, resolution development, implementation of actions and process improvement initiatives.
    • Consults in developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures in areas of responsibility.
    • Collaborates on policy decisions, procedures, issues and investigations.
  • Provides leadership in Compliance and Privacy training and education.
    • Develops training and communication.
    • Researches and interprets rules and requirements.
    • Conducts education.
  • Leads Compliance and Privacy Investigations.
    • Conducts and/or facilitates internal investigations.
    • Identifies and analyzes issues.
    • Develops resolution and risk mitigation plans.
  • Responds to government agency and external review requests.
    • Provides guidance for government response(s) and 3rd party audits.
    • Collaborates to develop a response to external requests.
    • Partners on improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care or related field
  • 5 to 7 years Compliance and/or Privacy related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health Care or related field

Licenses/Certifications

  • Health Care Compliance Certification preferred
  • Health Care Privacy Compliance Certification preferred
