Job Description

Position Description:

This position will review Ameritas life insurance and annuity products sold in N.Y. state for client best interest. Most time will be spent on review of life insurance products. The minority of time will be spent on review of annuity contributions. This position performs through the development, implementation, and maintenance of a proficient system of internal controls which improves the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department process. The incumbent performs audits and develops controls necessary to ensure the accuracy of plan/policy issues and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

Position Location:

This position is remote and does not require regular in-office presence.

What you do:



  • Work within internal audit program which focuses on conducting ongoing reviews regarding client best interest.
  • Take appropriate action from findings to minimize or eliminate potential problems in a timely manner.
  • Develop relationships with agents in the field and request information from them as needed. Develop and follow communication plans for regulatory changes to the areas impacted including field producers.
  • Work in partnership with Ameritas new business team to ensure timely approval and issuance of policies. Consult with internal partners to identify areas where coordination of efforts can occur. Identify and recommend changes in processes to leadership.
  • Represent the department on initatives and projects as necessary. Tasks include but not limited to a change in business processes or the implementation of procedures for new state or federal regulations.
  • Maintain familiarity with New York state and/or federal regulations.


What you bring:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
  • FINRA Series 6 required.


  • FINRA Series 26 required within 180 days of starting role.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 24 desired but not required.

About this Position's Pay
The pay range posted reflects a nationwide minimum to maximum covering all potential locations where the position may be filled. The final determination on pay for any position will be based on multiple factors including role, career level, work location, skill set, and candidate level of experience to ensure pay equity within the organization. This position will be eligible to participate in our comprehensive benefits package (see above for details). This position will be eligible to participate in our Short-Term Incentive Plan with the annual target defined by the plan.
