DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for developing plans, details, and sections for civil and mining projects, as well as managing construction contracts, reports, and rights-of-way acquisitions of various complexities and scopes. The projects encompass a range of activities related to abandoned mines, including regrading former surface mine areas, backfilling or sealing mine openings, addressing underground mine fires, installing drainage control structures, demolishing derelict mine buildings, stabilizing areas prone to subsidence, and treating mine drainage. Additionally, you may work on projects aimed at restoring and mitigating wetlands affected by acid mine drainage, as well as addressing the replacement or treatment of individual water supplies impacted by historical coal mining activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Ebensburg.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Drafter; or
- Two years of experience as an Environmental Engineering Technician, which includes a minimum of one year of engineering, architectural or survey drafting work, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training; or
- Two years of experience in engineering, architectural or survey drafting work, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training, and an Associate's Degree in the field of engineering technology or Computer Aided Drafting and Design; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and/or training, including or supplemented by six months of CADD experience or training.
Other Requirements:
