Position Summary |
The purpose of the position is to serve as the primary front desk Staff Coordinator and provide administrative support for the Department of Health Sciences, Office of Student Services & Chair's Office. This includes all activities related to general greeting and customer services needs for all visitors. Answering and directing phone calls to necessary faculty and staff, ensuring mail/packages are delivered and disbursed properly, and maintaining the Student Services email address. This position will also conduct supply ordering for the Office of Student Services, Submission of Faculty leave time, Event planning/coordination as needed, Assist the Course Evaluations Manager with Evaluations for the entire department, Supervisor the work study students for the Student Services office and generally assist the Office of Student Services. Lastly, this position will assist administratively with new program development. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
This individual must be punctual, reliable, discrete, highly organized, flexible. First-rate customer service, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to interact effectively with a variety of staff, faculty, and students. Must have excellent attention to detail and prioritize workload. The ability to problem solve, use time management and successfully work independently. This position requires experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Zoom. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Previous experience and training with
HIPPA and
FERPA compliance in a workspace setting. Experience in a higher education administrative setting. |
