Position Summary |
This incumbent will provide facility support during the afternoon and evening hours at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Guests often have needs related to buildings, setups, and cabin issues after the traditional daytime hours. The employee will also assist with regularly scheduled housekeeping items, while also locking buildings, turning off lights, and checking building setups in the evening. This employee performs manual work in the custodial care of Rock Eagle 4-H Center facilities. This includes building cleaning and preparation on Center. Buildings include venues, cabins, public facilities, restrooms, and other units located on Center. |
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Some knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to exercise care in the use of cleaning material for different types of building surfaces.

- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Bend at the waist and knees.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 40lbs.
- Work from a ladder and work with arms and hands overhead.
- Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Prepare Cottages/Buildings:
- Prepare cottage and or buildings for the arrival of and use by guests of Rock Eagle 4-H Center. Sweep, mop, and scrub floors.
- Dust and clean furniture.
- Wash windows, walls, trashcans, and glass doors.
- Clean buildings and cottages, public areas, restrooms, and drinking fountains.
- Replenishes supplies in supply closets.
- Empty trash and sweep outside walkways and porches.
- Operate vacuums, wet vacuums, shampooer, and other floor machines.
