WellSky is seeking a Sr. Project Manager - Software Implementation to join our team. The Sr. Project Manager - Software Implementation will oversee our client software implementation projects and ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established goals/objectives, schedules, and budget.As part of WellSky's corporate Professional Services organization, the Sr. Project Manager will coordinate with external and internal teams to ensure tasks are clearly identified and completed to support overall project success.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Creates project schedules based on defined scope and assigned resources that accounts for the added complexity of large/enterprise clients
  • Regularly and effectively communicates to the project team by assigning portions of the project schedule, updating on project status, vocalizing potential risks and leading project planning meetings
  • Leads project management tasks in both PM Meetings as well as Executive Steering Committee meetings to ensure Client and WellSky teams stay aligned throughout the entire project
  • Advanced knowledge of each client's business, organization and objectives that will provide lead generation for future sales and improved project execution on future projects
  • Independently manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project, making revisions as needed to keep overall project on time and on budget while taking into account organizational goals
  • Cultivate a strategic partnership with Client Project Manager and Project Sponsor which will be instrumental in facilitating change management to ensure long term adoption of the WellSky Solution
  • Oversee the accurate preparation and completion of project financials and reporting
  • Leverage existing methods and procedures to facilitate consistent and repeatable results across the project team.
  • Provide concise executive-level reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and implement efficiency measures in WellSky's best practices for implementation projects
  • Mentor and guide other Project Managers or new hires, fostering a collaborative and innovative working environment

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years related work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Microsoft Project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of client team
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in software implementation project management
  • Enterprise EMR/EHR implementation or equivalent experience
  • Process improvement experience that resulted in quantifiable results is desired
