Purpose:

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will provide mechanical engineering services to Worley, and its Customers and will provide technical support and supervision within the mechanical team. This position will integrate into a Customer's engineering team at their operating facility.

This onsite position is located near Denver, CO in a refinery/ plant environment.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead mechanical engineering project design.
  • Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet Worley, its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.
  • Identify and report changes to project scope;
  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets and schedules;
  • Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders;
  • Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
  • Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanical engineering.
  • Assist and support junior personnel within the mechanical engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the mechanical engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:



  • 8 to 12+ years of experience the analysis, design and implementation of major engineering infrastructure in oil and gas refinery sectors.
  • Acquired EIT certification.
  • Acquired PE certification.
  • Ability to use CADD and other design software such as Autodesk, Revit Structural or Cadworx
  • Proven ability to lead mechanical team.
  • Proven ability to be an active and participatory member of an engineering oriented team.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in the English language.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Intellectual curiosity and work ethic for professional development through challenging work experience and independent study.
  • People skills, ability work with teams, respect for colleagues and customers.
  • Static equipment design understanding required.


Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:



  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering


Preferred:



  • Graduate degree is a plus.
  • Understanding of structural engineering design preferred.


Additional information:



  • This position is to be located in the Commerce City/Denver, CO area
  • Salary: $125,394 - $184,403 commensurate with experience
  • Benefits: eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.
