POSITION TITLE

Tax Analyst

POSITION OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for working within Milliken's corporate tax team. This multi-skilled person should be able to support multiple tax types, including assistance with annual reports, quarterly filings, tax notices, sales and use tax, property tax, exemption certificates, SAP reporting and other administrative tasks as required. Maintains high ethical standards and supports the company's reputation for integrity. The position is located at the company's corporate headquarters in Spartanburg, SC, and reports to the Director of State and Local Tax. Any travel would be minimal.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support cross-functional team in the management of sales and use tax, property tax, and reporting.
  • Conduct tax research and interpret state and local regulations.
  • Collaborate with all tax teams including income, sales and use, and property.
  • Provide administrative support to tax return processes and general tax department needs.
  • Identify process optimization opportunities and coordinate implementation of enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Experience in accounting and/or sales and use tax, property tax for manufacturing locations.
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Office expertise, particularly Excel, is required. Knowledge and hands-on experience with SAP, Vertex, and Teams is a plus.
  • Familiar with tax research applications and documentation best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or minimally an associate's degree in business, finance, or accounting with requisite experience
