Job Description

The Program Coordinator will be part of the Triton Student Parent Success team and will report to the Director of Student Advocacy in the Division of Student Affairs. This position will coordinate a Department of Education grant funded program at the university that supports the needs of low-income students with children. It will oversee grant activities including recruiting university students for the program, maintenance of records and feedback, coordination of data collection necessary for evaluation and preparation of the Annual Program Review document. Additionally, this position will conduct outreach and education to the campus community to increase support for students with children.

  • Oversee recruitment and enrollment of UMSL student parents in to grant program to receive childcare subsidy
  • Promote/market program to students, faculty, and staff (i.e. tabling at events, print marketing, social media, email blasts, key contacts in the university)
  • Develop and maintain a database of program participants
  • Track enrollment status and academic indicators of program participants
  • Develop and maintain program website
  • Develop and manage evaluation tools and oversee grant requirements of program participants
  • Develop and disseminate educational and supportive materials for pregnant and parenting students
  • Provide outreach and training to staff and faculty on supporting pregnant and parenting students
  • Assist in preparation of scheduled and special grant reports and funding records
  • Task supervise and train full time professional staff
  • Remain knowledgeable about proposed and enacted federal and state legislation which will affect the scope of services available for individuals with children by maintaining membership in professional organizations and participating in national and regional conferences
  • Actively contribute to a welcoming educational environment to support and engage all UMSL students, faculty, and staff
  • Contribute to the overall success of the CCAMPIS grant objectives by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Shift

Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 4:30pm

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with children
  • Demonstrated experience with program recruitment and enrollment in a higher education or community setting
  • Demonstrated experience working with project or grant management
  • Experience working in a higher education setting
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $45,500 - $48,500 Annual
