Job Summary
- Temporary position for approximately 2 months.
- Catalog of records on site and off site to send to storage.
- Gather applicable records on site and off site to shred.
- Organizing/movement of tooling out of offsite storage.
- Tracks engineering changes.
- Posts changes to computerized or manual control records, releases documents, and notifies affected departments.
- Ensures that documents in use are updated to the latest configuration.
- Orders replacement documents as required.
- Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents.
- Maintains engineering related files.
- Operates reproduction equipment.
- Prepares requests for reproduction of documents.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to organize and control flow of documents through department and other related departments.
- Read and understand internal procedures and policies.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications and other engineering documents.
- Familiarity with reproduction machines.
- Computer experience: MS Word, Excel, Adobe.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and a good memory for detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Conscientious, organized and meticulous - records must be accurate and maintained.
- Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions.
- Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook.
- Able to learn new screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance.
- CAD experience is a plus.
Required Experience and Education
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Computer experience: MS Word, Excel, Adobe
