Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language-swallowing therapy.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. 3. Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Language Pathology OR if a recent graduate, must complete a Clinical Fellowship within 48 months from hire. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. One (1) year of experience. The national Institute for Occupational Safety and Health recommends minimizing the need for employees to manually lift patients, and limit safe patient handling to 35 pounds. All transfers, lifts and re-positioning will be completed utilizing the lift equipment and/or other patient handling aids as indicated by the patient's profile and appropriate algorithms. We are looking forfull-time Speech Pathologistto join our dedicated staff at WVU Medicine. We seek a SLP who is a self-motivated healthcare professional with a passion for thinking out of the box, developing patient center clinical programming, and providing outstanding care to meet the diverse needs of our patients on our inpatient rehabilitation unit.
