Overview

This position will be responsible for assisting in gathering, investigating, and tracking of Safety information. Flight investigations and audits will be accomplished at the direction of SRC in conjunction with other departments and outside agencies. Technical investigation reports will be prepared and utilized for tracking and Company support. All reporting must be comprehensive. This position will be responsible for assisting in gathering, investigating, and tracking of Safety information. Responsibilities

    Investigate flight safety events
  • Assist with audits
  • Gather flight data from investigations
  • Investigate ground safety events
  • Gather data from investigations
  • Identify positive and negative safety trends
  • Solicit and process safety improvement suggestions
  • Assist in developing and maintaining safety awareness
  • Write reports based on empirical safety and investigation data
  • Provide timely advice and assistance on ground and aviation safety matters
  • Industry safety data comparisons
  • Actively engage in the Company's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Attend and act as Company representative at industry conference(s) as needed.
  • Maintain an on-call status during off-duty hours for screening of safety-related events and investigation initiation
  • Accomplish other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; preferably with aviation discipline
  • Knowledge of Part 121 airline procedures; preferably holds at least Private Pilot License
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Must be self-starter, able to work with little supervision in fast paced environment
  • Travel will be required, must be able to travel without restrictions
  • Must successfully complete specialized Company training (Loadmaster, etc.)

Special Demands:

  • Travel will be required (50%); must be able to travel without restrictions with little to no warning.
  • Working during non-traditional hours as needed (nights, weekends, holidays).
  • Maintain an on-call status and contact-ability during off duty hours for screening of safety related events.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Preferably familiar with AIMS, WBAT, CEFA, GE Aviation EMS, Veoci.

Salary Range: $59,000 - $79,500

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset."
