Headquartered in Oakland, CA, we are a distributed (remote) workforce with staff in major metros throughout the country, including Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, and San Francisco. We have offices in Oakland, and staff has access to all WeWork offices globally.

As a Paid Search Specialist, you will support the Supervisor and Director in developing and executing daily campaign objectives to drive success. You will optimize campaigns by analyzing performance metrics, ensuring budget pacing, and tracking KPIs to ensure efficient use of resources. You will prepare regular reports, extract insights, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance campaign performance. You will also collaborate closely with a larger team, bringing a self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to deliver on campaign goals. Your curiosity and proactive mindset will be key in identifying trends, uncovering opportunities, and continuously improving results.

 

To be successful, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in marketing, advertising, or communications.
  • 1-2 years of paid search (SEM) experience with Google Ads Search Certification.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets; experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Team-oriented, detail-focused, and eager to learn with a flexible, collaborative work style.
  • Availability to work West Coast/Pacific Time Zone hours.

 

Your responsibilities as the Paid Search Specialist will include:

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain paid search (SEM) campaigns across multiple industry verticals to align with client goals.
  • Analyze data and trends to identify optimization and expansion opportunities, maximizing campaign performance.
  • Manage and report on campaign KPIs and metrics, ensuring effective budget pacing and spend delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients, communicating strategies and campaign insights.
  • Contribute to keyword development and targeting strategies and support cross-channel integration efforts.
