Job Title: Director, Quality
Company: Raycap Location: Charleston, SC (or Kearny, NJ) Department: Manufacturing Reports To: TBD Summary The Quality Director will lead/organize the quality resources across Raycap's manufacturing facilities in Charleston, SC and Kearny, NJ. This leader will oversee and implement quality assurance strategies across all manufacturing operations and have the sophistication and experience to manage and maintain processes, organize and take the facilities through ISO audits, establish and improve quality processes and more. This is an onsite position, which requires 30% travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) and regulatory requirements. * Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance activities, including incoming material inspection, inprocess inspection, and final product inspection. * Quality Control: Lead the quality control team to ensure product quality and consistency throughout the manufacturing process. * Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions. * Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing processes. * Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including FDA, CE, or other applicable standards. * Supplier Quality: Manage supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and implement supplier improvement programs. * Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing quality assurance team. * Data Analysis: Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor key quality metrics. * Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with customers to understand their quality expectations and address any quality concerns. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field. * 5-10+ years of experience in quality assurance and quality control within a manufacturing environment (welding, stamping, pressing, final assembly.... etc.). * Certifications: ISO 9001 - Quality Management Systems; ISO 18001 - Environmental Management Systems; ISO 45001 - Health & Safety Management Systems. * Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. * Proven leadership and team management skills. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * This is an onsite position, which requires 30% travel.
