Title: Process Control Engineer
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000
Schedule: 9/80; 4-10s or 5-8s
Relocation Available

Focus: The Process Control Engineer will be part of the central Process Control and Automation Engineering team, providing global support with a primary focus on our Gulf Coast manufacturing sites. The Process Control Engineer will advance Olin's Odyssey Program, a multi-year initiative aimed at modernizing legacy MOD 5 process control systems by transitioning to DeltaV DCS. Additionally, The Process Control Engineer will contribute to the development of innovative process control and automation technologies, leveraging Olin's established ecosystem and standards to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

Process Control Engineer Essential Job Functions:



  • Migrate process control configuration from MOD5 to DeltaV DCS, ensuring smooth on-site hardware cutovers and successful startups.
  • Collaborate within a Scrum framework to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective chemical process control configuration, procedure automation, and intuitive HMI displays within DeltaV DCS.
  • Design and deploy Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) configuration in DeltaV SIS, ensuring compliance with IEC 61511 and other applicable safety standards.
  • Continuously improve Olin's global DeltaV configuration library and toolset by creating, testing, and releasing innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and documentation.
  • Provide expert-level support to manufacturing facility teams.
  • Collaborate with the MES team to integrate DeltaV with external applications such as Aspen InfoPlus.21


Process Control Engineer Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering; Chemical Engineering Degree* preferred
  • 2+ years of chemical plant experience OR 2+ years of DCS programming experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and possess a valid US driver's license.


Process Control Engineer Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in DeltaV, MOD 5, or other DCS programming.
  • Basic knowledge of VBA, Typescript, or other programming languages.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position
