Job Summary

Provides advanced painter skills and oversight on projects to include: erects scaffold, scrapes, sands, primes or seals surfaces prior to painting. Mixes, matches, and applies paint, varnish, enamels and other finishes and covers surfaces to protect against splatters or drips. Checks condition of woodwork, removes splatters paint upon job completion, and cleans and cares for brushes, spray guns and other equipment. Prepare drywall for finishes, tape and bed, and texture. Able to read blueprints and sketches and apply finishes accordingly. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED with 5 years of painting experience in residential or commercial setting and 3 yearsin a lead role. Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Education and Experience
OSHA 10-Hour Training
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tape, bed, texture, and painting of walls.
  • Train crew members in painting, staining, tape, bed, and texture techniques.
  • Seal and stain doors.
  • Paint exterior surfaces.
  • Assist with flooring, carpentry, and tile, and other duties as assigned.
