Position Summary As a Technical Packaging Specialist, covering Columbus OH, this individual will work closely with customers and their regional sales team to service equipment development and promote the sale of Sealed Air products. Technical Packaging Specialists are the first line of contact with all new customers. Technical Packaging Specialists establish and maintain long-term business relationships with new and current customers. The Specialists will be expected to consult customers on the packaging materials, equipment, and processes. The Specialists will be expected to consult customers on the packaging materials, equipment, and processes. Job Description Provide customers with equipment troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance service using Sealed Air protective materials. Assist or coordinate/supervise customer personnel in equipment installation and train customers in equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation. Analyzes packaging quality and production problems to determine if equipment, material, or product related. Advise customers in establishing preventative maintenance programs and spare parts requirements. Enhance customer relations with regular calls, value capture, equipment audits, securing parts, and advice on packaging techniques per the territory business plan. Assists sales in supporting new products and opportunities. Supporting sales and marketing with timely completion of all administrative reports. Qualifications High School Diploma: BA/BS Degree preferred 3 + years of High level of mechanical and troubleshooting expertise Valid Driver's License Ability to Travel overnight Additional Qualifications Self-sufficient and self-disciplined with a very positive attitude Excellent mechanical skills and use of tools including voltmeter. Must have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to develop existing business.
