The Sr. Director - Channel Field Sales (Home/Broadband) will be an integral part of our Verizon Enhanced Communities which serves the high strategic multifamily industry in the consumer markets. This team of 400+ management professionals is consistently exceeding growth targets for deployment of fiber networks into private buildings. This favorably positions Verizon's products and services with residents and has accelerated conversion of the customer opportunity in those communities to over 1.1M Fios subscribers generating over $2B of annual revenue. This team consistently delivers year over year growth in subscriber sales while improving efficiency, simplifying processes and lowering cost. Job Summary:
Responsible for maintaining and growing partner or alliance relationships for indirect selling of our products through a third party. Manages reseller sales activities, analyzes market trends and identifies gaps for areas of improvement. Drives sales of new products and provides ongoing product training to partners. Spends the majority of time interacting with partners salesforce to maximize revenue. Manage team to meet and exceed sales goals. Set channel objectives and initiate performance planning with measurements in all key areas. Instill core values and personal and team commitment throughout the organization. Maintain consistent communication on key objectives. Responsible for analyzing sales results, monitoring productivity, forecasting, and quota setting. Analyze forecast, sales reporting, and market conditions, and evaluate territories and market share to identify opportunities to increase growth and revenue and manage churn. Attend high-level sales meetings with potential and existing key accounts to establish strong working relationships and promote the quality of Verizon. Work through the contract negotiation process for key accounts on pricing and concessions and facilitate final contract approval across departments. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments throughout the company to analyze issues impacting the channel and recommend, develop, and implement process improvements. Interview and hire management team. Oversee the professional development of an organization. Responsible for coaching, motivating and training the team to achieve high-performance results. Make decisions regarding people performance management and other change of status of team members. Assess employee performance, hold employees accountable, take appropriate corrective actions, and train and provide ongoing direction and feedback to team members.
What we're looking for...
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred 8+ years of relevant work experience in a sales or commission-based structure. 5+ years of people management experience and growing & developing teams. Extensive Fios & 5G Home background, as well as solid wireless product knowledge, including vendor sales management experience (products, distribution, co-employment knowledge, and compensation alignment) Business acumen, with the ability to work with internal stakeholders to advocate for team Strong executive presentation and interaction skills, up to and including C-level The ability to conduct meetings and train others how to manage complex relationships and sales/customer experience engagements, while successfully selling complete solutions by differentiating the Verizon brand from the competition In-depth understanding of and experience with Wireless and Wireline products, services, processes, and systems Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment, while balancing multiple, highly complex, cross-functional projects/initiatives of varying priority Accomplished leader capable of driving high-performing teams to achieve results A coach and developer of people who strives to elevate performance while maintaining a collaborative culture
Willingness to travel 50%-75%. In-Office Days: Ability to be in the field 4x per week. Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree Proven track record of building positive relationships with clients and internal partners for mutual success Demonstrated strength in data-driven analytics and decision-making Experience in the Muti-family housing sector Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple dynamic priorities simultaneously
In this mobile role, you'll primarily work from customer or field location(s), with occasional visits to a Verizon location for in-person training and meetings.
