Job Summary

The Finance Analyst - Cash Application is responsible for managing financial transactions related to cash receipts. Their primary duties include accurately recording cash payments, reconciling accounts, and providing support to the finance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • A solid understanding of the accounts receivable process
  • Excellent customer service
  • Daily cash application of all deposits/wires/ACH/checks
  • Ensure timely/accurate completion/application of cash posting
  • Reconciliation of deposits/wires/ACH/checks
  • Resolution of escalation research items
  • General understanding of SAP or other major financial system

Key Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience in meeting deadlines accurate and on time
  • Possess critical listening/thinking skills
  • Demonstrate decision making and analytical/problem solving skills to perform a variety of complicated tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Proficient in SAP or other major financial system
  • Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of internal control framework Well organized and detail oriented professional
  • Self-motivated

Education Requirements

Minimum:High School or GED and comparable Finance experience

Preferred:4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance

Years of Experience

2-5 years' experience cash application, reconciliation, research

Required Travel

Travel is not expected in this job, however, employees may be asked to travel for meetings or training on occasion.

Hybrid Work Environment

CCBSS operates a hybrid working environment. This is a teleworking role that requires working at a CCBSS office location on a regular basis (or a minimum number of days per month or week) at the manager's discretion. The number of days required at a CCBSS office location is at the manager's discretion and is subject to change depending on business needs.
