The Opportunity
Adobe is addressing one of the biggest challenges facing businesses today, how to build highly personalized, on-brand and performant content - across a myriad of channels and geographies. The Adobe Content & Commerce partnerships team is looking for a Principal of Strategic Partnerships to scale our growth with strategic partners who accelerate content growth to meet market demands. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team supporting Adobe Digital Experience's newest product, Adobe GenStudio for Performance Marketing; a new generative AI-first application that empowers brands and agencies to accelerate the delivery of global advertising and marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone with deep industry experience, strategic skills and a proven leadership track record of sourcing and building partnerships that will strengthen Adobe's market position and increase our brand awareness.
What you'll Do
- Demonstrate thought leadership and the ability to contribute to roadmap, functionality, and strategy in emerging markets like GenAI
- Establish and grow relationships inside and outside Adobe to drive initiatives that ensure global product readiness
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, product management, product marketing, and business strategy & ops teams to drive execution of multiple growth initiatives
- Define and manage business terms with external technology partners, including negotiating agreements and Terms of Use on behalf of Adobe product/engineering teams
- Act as a brand ambassador and SME to understand the business goals of different Adobe Content & Commerce product teams and demonstrate the value of our strategic partners' ecosystems
- Build a cohesive team environment and encourage collaboration among different stakeholders, product leaders, partners, and team members
- Operate with a high degree of independence to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, advocate for the partner strategy and demonstrate business value through financial/business models
What you need to succeed
- 12-15 years in business development or strategic partnerships driving customized, unique partnerships
- Proven strategic partner expertise with a track record of driving performance and achieving ambitious goals with complex technology partners
- Comfort with ambiguity and hands-on problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners
- Experience with negotiating complex legal agreements with large, strategic partners
- Ability to act as a creative, strategic problem solver, driven to seek opportunities to materially impact the business.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $137,300 -- $252,600 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP). In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
