Supplier Quality Technician needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Londonderry, New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

The Suppler Quality Technician provides technical support to the supplier quality engineering functions. Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on non-conforming products, materials, components and parts at the receiving stages of the production process, to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards and aid in MRB processes.

  • Support Supplier Quality improvement through permanent feed-back provided to SQE with regards to component quality level.
  • Support non-conformance material (NCM) management through reporting activity or preparations of the NCM parts to be returned to suppliers.
  • Verifies parts received against customer specifications, to ensure product compliance.
  • Resolves supplier quality product issues.
  • Attends Material Review Board (MRB)/NCM activities to support the resolution of supplier quality issues.
  • Assist NCM with RMA process.
  • Coordinate product purges due to supplier defects; Work with suppliers on-site; Assist with sort product.
  • Basic blueprint skills-Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Basic measurement skills using inspection equipment (Calipers, micrometers)
  • Knowledge and use of CMM a Plus
  • Expertise in either thermal technology, lasers, machining/molding, and/or electronics is a plus
  • Expertise in optics preferred
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Basic measurement skills using inspection equipment (Calipers, micrometers) Knowledge and use of CMM.
  • Expertise in either thermal technology, lasers, machining/molding, and/or electronics.
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Intermediate decision-making, problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic manufacturing experience
  • Customer focus
  • General office equipment and materials
  • Nice to Haves: Optical lens inspection experience

In compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the hourly rate range for this role is $20.00 to $28.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.

Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: Successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
