ECU Department of Campus living is currently seeking several Gym Attendants. The Gym Attendant role provides general upkeep service for the Galley Gym within Campus Living. Primary Duties include ensuring a level of cleanliness and general order of the fitness equipment and enforcing facility policies and proper usage of equipment.
The Gym Attendants are expected to fulfill the following general roles and responsibilities:
Equipment/Facility Upkeep: Ensure equipment is used properly, put away, and wiped down when gym closes. Inform supervisor of any equipment malfunctions or replacement needs. Maintain a clean facility by wiping down machines and weights with disinfectant. Team Member: Maintain positive communication with staff and all CL employees, attend all training sessions, staff meetings, staff developments, and support staff team when help is needed. University Representative: Serve as positive role model, serve needs of residents, be mindful of social media tags/posts, and represent CL and ECU positively on and off campus.

Campus Living is comprised of Residence Life, Housing, Dining, Transit, Conferences & Youth Programs, and Off Campus Student Services. Our residence hall population is about 5,500 students, each hall with a 320-720 bed capacity. Eligible candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Current GPA 2.5 or greater
- Good Standing with student conduct
- 1 semester (or 4 months) of community living or minimum of 4 months living in a military barracks or equivalent
Applicants should be in good conduct/behavioral standing with East Carolina University and local, state, and federal laws. |
