CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Power BI Analyst to join our Corporate - Ops & Innovation Team at our office in Colonie, NY.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services. These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.

The Power BI Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that align with business requirements. Their expertise will be critical in implementing row-level security on data and understanding application security layer models for Power BI, leveraging Microsoft Fabric to enhance the deployment and functionality of dashboards. They will also develop DAX queries and calculations to ensure our reports deliver meaningful insights.

Collaboration with stakeholders will be key, as the Power BI analyst assesses business needs to provide data-driven solutions that optimize existing BI systems for performance and scalability. The Power BI Analyst will document all reports, dashboards, and data models thoroughly, ensuring clarity and accessibility for users. Additionally, they will assist with training users on BI reports and dashboard releases, empowering staff to leverage the insights effectively for informed decision-making. The contributions of the Power BI Analyst will play a vital role in enhancing our data analytics capabilities and driving business success.

REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive, increasingly responsible, experience with computer applications programming, supporting, and developing small and large-scale computer software applications
  • Minimum two years recent experience in Power BI Development or Data Analytics
  • Ability to problem solve effectively, detail oriented
  • Proficient in SQL, and data model techniques; Experience with DAX is a plus
  • Prior experience working in a Professional Services firm and with Deltek Vision is a plus
  • Expertise working with data lakes, data warehouses, relational databases, and data modeling techniques; Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory is a plus
  • Ability to interpret business requirement and translate them into technical requirements
  • Familiarity with other BI tool such as Tableau, and data visualization best practices


SALARY RANGE:

$67,000 - $86,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
