University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences The Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences emphasizes multi-disciplinary approach to research and graduate education. We employ a dedicated staff and maintain state-of-the-art equipment to support our world-renowned faculty's high level of research grant funding. In addition to research, our faculty are committed to supporting and developing graduate and post-graduate students in their educational and research efforts. The Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences has three main focus areas for research: biomaterials/bioengineering, mineralized tissue biology and translational and clinical research. Faculty across these areas regularly collaborate in innovative ways to make the best use of the talents of individuals in the department. Job Description
The Department of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the UMKC School of Dentistry is excited to announce an opportunity for a postdoctoral fellow position. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join the Biomaterials and Bioengineering Laboratory, under the supervision of Dr. Rose Wang and Dr. Yong Wang in conducting cutting-edge research focused on oral cancer early detection. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in the field of cancer research and are eager to contribute to innovative projects aimed at improving early detection and prevention of cancer. We welcome candidates who are enthusiastic about collaborating with a diverse team of researchers and clinicians. You don't have to meet all the requirements to apply for the position. We offer hands-on training for spectroscopy techniques and machine learning analysis for those aspiring to broaden their skill set and expertise. Responsibilities

* Minimum Qualifications Hold a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, biosciences, natural sciences or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Experience in data analysis with MATLAB, Python, or R is a plus. Histology and/or pathology experience is a plus. Experience in bioinformatics and computational methods is a plus. Experience in cancer research, such as cancer cell culture and mouse models, is an additional advantage. Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity. Application Materials
