The role: As a Compliance Advisor at SoFi, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organization's commitment to regulatory compliance, integrity, and innovation. Executing compliance assurance, risk assessment assurance, and issues monitoring / follow-up prior to closure work ensures that ICT delivers on its mandate. Specifically for issues management, the Compliance Advisor will monitor and review action plans and then validate issues prior to closure. The Compliance Assurance function adheres to the quality management framework and the risk management framework and collaborates with key stakeholders. The Compliance Advisor will be responsible for leading and executing quality assurance (QA) reviews to ensure the quality of the ICT testing of transactions and internal controls across the SoFi enterprise, including SoFi Bank, N.A. The Compliance Advisor will check and challenge work products to improve the testing program in a substantive manner. Additionally, for issues management, Compliance Advisor monitors corrective actions, communicates with the issues owners, receives, checks and challenges corrective action plans, as well as the work products which are intended to fulfill the corrective actions. This person works in tandem with the ICT team for issue closure. The candidate will have deep functional knowledge of applicable US banking laws and regulations, including broker / dealer, BSA/AML, and sanctions laws and regulations. For issue validation, the Compliance Advisor utilizes outcome testing and audit methods to validate corrective action plans, restitution/remediation, and new compliance metrics for implementation regarding business products, services, and processes, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. This person will be responsible for documenting, tracking, and preparing executive reports and dashboards, the Compliance Advisor identifies potential enhancements and works to rectify errors, aiming to mitigate the frequency and severity of risks. The Compliance Advisor will also be responsible for leading and executing QA reviews of the Compliance risk assessments to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the results, as well as all its supporting evidence.
