Job description:


  • Provide accurate SIMULTANEOUS interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for meetings at OEM Automobile Development Center (ADC).
  • As an interpreter dispatched by your agency to work for ADC, it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand. Although translation is minimal, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and when necessary.
  • ADC is looking for Morning-shift interpreters, approx. 4 hours/day, between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM (EST), though your hours are dictated by your capability. You might occasionally be asked to support Evening meetings.
  • The work hours will likely be irregular to meet the work demands, but the goal will be to keep your hours around 20 hours/week. If the number of meetings increases, your work hours/week may increase.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experienced Japanese/English SIMULTANEOUS Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese).
  • 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or if no college, at least 5 years of interpretation experience.
