TRC serves a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Collections Manager to join our team. As a Collections Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective management of the organization's accounts receivable process. You will lead a team of collection specialists, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. You will partner with the VP to focus on key clients to drive success for the company. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a strategic mindset to develop and implement effective collection strategies.


Responsibilities

  1. Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of collection specialists, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  2. Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive collections strategies to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt losses. This includes analyzing data to identify trends and determining appropriate collection methods.
  3. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the collections process to streamline operations, reduce delinquencies, and enhance efficiency. Implement automation tools and technologies where applicable to improve workflow and productivity. Collaborate with the finance department to resolve customer disputes and improve collection processes.
  4. Client Communication: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients to facilitate the collection process. Communicate effectively with customers to resolve disputes, negotiate payment terms, and address any concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Team with internal account managers to identify the best approach to handle any issues that arise.
  5. Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on collections activities, aging accounts, and key performance indicators. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for action to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in collections management or a similar role, with a track record of success in reducing delinquency and improving cash flow.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using collections software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Leadership abilities, including team management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
