Desired Qualifications and Skills: * Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or relevant experience. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree. * 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sourcing, and/or Manufacturing. * Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and build schedules. * Strong data and reporting skills and the ability to present information to drive action. * Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Supply Chain Management (SCM) Planning Operations Professional works to optimize resources to schedule production to best meet customer requirements.Responsibilities include: * Planning * Evaluate impact of new orders or schedule changes (Proposals). * Serve as planning liaison between Manufacturing and Customer Support (M&CS) and SCM and coordinate activities to maintain master schedule. * Work with supply chain planners and M&CS to accurately manage date effectivity cut ins on MBOMs. * Provide subject matter expertise and reporting in scheduling, critical path analysis, and program coordination. * Support business planning and proposal activities. * Execute risk surveillance and drive corrective actions. * Executing * Facilitate and lead production shortage meetings. * Responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle. * Prepare master schedule reports and perform analysis to ensure schedule commitments are met and risk is identified. * Monitor plant production planning actions and correlate to SCM planning impacts (e.g. part scrap/cycle count loss, make LT changes, Work Order changes, etc.). * Serve as the SCM point of contact for all demand schedules and coordination within the Division (Schedule Council - SCM). * Monitor schedule deviations, schedule constraints, demand movements, and demand variances. Facilitate development of corrective actions. Additionally, the role will: * Notify Management of potential schedule problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed. * Identify and drive master scheduling related continuous improvement initiatives. * Coordinate meetings, Schedule Councils with various stakeholders to ensure best use of resource constraints. * Create and publish departmental SCM Planning Metrics. * Support development of Master Production Schedules. Provide input and develop master production schedule to prepare requirements for purchased and make parts. * Assist in the development and launch of the SCM Planning Operations Department and associated job functions/tasks. * Coordinate plant and SCM MRP planning functions and serve as SCM Planning liaison to the plants. * Prepare reports required to analyze, facilitate, and suggest actions to assure optimal execution of supply chain and the MRP plan to support division and customer requirement. * Supervise MRP stability, review MRP for schedule variability, communicate issues, perform root cause analysis of schedule volatility, and develop and drive associated corrective actions to reconcile inaccuracies within the MRP plan. * Drive process improvement and development and facilitate problem solving efforts. Identify and recommend feasible solutions to plan operational issues. * Preform risk surveillance and proactively communicate and drive risk mitigation efforts. * Serve as MRP planning subject matter expert and support training and department needs. |
