Position Function |
Serve as one of three professional academic advisors to all Honors College students (matriculates, transfer, and upper division students) in academic program planning, course scheduling, and other academic activities; participate in summer orientation and summer advising; support the Dean of the Honors College in providing services to Honors students; collaborate with University College's Office of Academic Advising in understanding and interpreting curriculum requirements. |
Minimum Education |
Undergraduate degree requirements from an accredited college or university completed at time of appointment. |
Minimum Experience |
One year relevant experience (for example, teaching, counseling or advising). |
Minimum Other |
Excellent communication skills. |
Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |
Preferred Education |
Master's degree from an accredited college or university. |
Preferred Experience |
Direct experience advising college-level students. Demonstrable commitment to Honors education. Knowledge of Ball State's Honors College, Honors academic requirements, and university requirements; experience working with student information and degree management software systems; familiarity with Ball State's current student information and degree management software systems. |
