Minimum Education and Experience |
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
4+ years computer experience including web development experience OR the equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
4+ years experience in
HTML/
CSS - At least one year experience in JavaScript.
Any demonstrable experience in Photoshop or Fireworks. |
Preferred Education and Experience |
Demonstrable experience with WordPress and the Adobe Creative Cloud |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and managing complex websites for divisions of the university.
- Designs layout and integrates graphic design; may be required to write some content.
- Ensures web design meets UTD web policies, style and technology.
- Assists in redesigning and restructuring the department's website while making our current site the best it can be.
- Continually monitor the site for broken links, outdated information, and sub-optimal elements, making necessary corrections and changes.
- Ensures the information on the site stays updated and work with the University's web services team, the department's Marketing Communications Manager, the marketing team, faculty, and staff to optimize the website.
- The position is mostly on-site with one remote day per week after the probationary period.
- Works on campus with the Marketing Communications Team.

Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. May be required to use personal computer and other standard office equipment. Must be located within the
DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
